WELCOME TO THE PROMISE MAKERS, FAMILY PROMISE’S RECURRING GIVING PROGRAM! 

Every day, 1 out of 19 children in the U.S. experiences homelessness.

Family Promise helps thousands of children and their families work their way back to independence each year through homelessness prevention, emergency shelter, and graduate support services. 88 percent of the families we serve secure housing by the time they exit our program.

Our Promise Makers- Recurring Gift members help children and families avoid or recover from homelessness every month with an automatic recurring gift to Family Promise.

Join us in the fight against family homelessness! For less than the cost of a cup of coffee every day for a month, you can help transform lives. With a monthly donation of $10 or more, you’ll receive monthly newsletters of our ongoings, a special thank you gift from Family Promise, and you’ll be listed in our annual report and event programs.

HOW CAN YOUR GIFT HELP EACH MONTH?

• $10 can feed a child for one day

• $15 can wash nearly 100 loads of laundry

• $25 can provide a family a month’s worth of hygiene products

• $50 can give a working parent monthly transportation (qualifies you as a Family of 500)

• $100 can provide one day of shelter, meals, and case management for a family in need (qualifies you as a Family of 1000)

Donor Profile: Why I Give

 

What must it be like to be homeless as a family?  How do you prepare meals, stay dry and warm, keep clothes clean, wash tiny hands and faces, find boots and coats, finish homework by flashlight, and still manage to get to work or school?  How do you put one foot in front of the other when you are up against seemingly insurmountable odds without loosing hope?  If we can help ease the road for some of those along the way, then what a blessing that is.

Graduate Profile: What our Giving Does for People

 

Their services not only provided us with food and shelter, but also love and support in a very hard time in our lives. The staff gave me the motivation and courage to restart my life and do better for my family. Through their ongoing support I was able to get a job with benefits and a brand new apartment. It was because of the way this program functions that we were able to get on our feet…”…They made sure we did not have to worry about diapers, where our next meal is coming from, or how we were going to get to job interviews or appointments. If we needed anything they made sure it happened or put us in contact with valued members of this community who could offer services or support. I feel like it is because of this program that so many families succeed and don’t just become another statistic in poverty. Without them I do not feel like I would be where I am today.
