Planned Giving
Planned giving is a meaningful way to support Family Promise of Juneau (FPJ) while leaving a lasting legacy. By including FPJ in your estate plans, will, trust, or other long-term financial arrangements, you help ensure that families experiencing homelessness and housing instability continue to receive the care, resources, and support they need for years to come.
There are several ways you can include FPJ in your long-term giving plans, each designed to provide meaningful support to families while offering potential financial benefits to you.

Bequests
You may make a gift to Family Promise by designating our organization as a beneficiary in your will. A bequest can be made for a specific amount or as a percentage of the total estate. Your bequest will help to secure the strength of Family Promise for future generations.
Gift Annuities
With a gift annuity, you donate to FPJ and receive guaranteed annual payments for life. Payment amounts are based on your age and a fixed percentage of your gift, and part of your gift may offer tax benefits.

Charitable Remainder Trusts
A charitable remainder trust lets you support FPJ while receiving income for life. You can fund it with cash or appreciated stock, and it can be set up to provide either fixed payments or payments that adjust with the trust’s value. After your lifetime, the remaining gift helps Family Promise continue its mission of supporting families in need.
Charitable Lead Trusts
A charitable lead trust provides regular support to Family Promise for a set period of time. At the end of the trust, the remaining assets return to you or go to your chosen beneficiaries, allowing you to give now while preserving wealth for the future.
