How We Help

Family Promise of Juneau helps to support families at risk of or actively experiencing homelessness. We address the issue holistically, providing prevention services before families reach crisis, shelter and case management if they're experiencing homelessness, and stabilization programs once they have secured housing to ensure they remain independent.

We tap existing local resources to empower families towards economic stability. Families come to us in crisis; we help them rebuild their lives with new skills and ongoing support.

Homeless Prevention

Providing thorough case management and connection to resources to help prevent families from becoming homeless.

Emergency Shelter

Our shelter program is a community network of staff and volunteers who provide shelter, hospitality, and professional case management through a rotational shelter model. This program is available to eligible families while they save money, connect to resources, and search for permanent housing.

Stabilization Services

Graduates of our programs are eligible for referral services.  Those not qualifying for our programs may also be eligible for stabilization services to help keep their family housed.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

FPJ has funds available from the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs to support Veterans in the Juneau community. Veterans may be eligible for this program following an intake with a FPJ case manager.
